Yes
I've on a course in central London (Oxford Street) for next week. Only found out today. However I've been informed we will be finishing at 5.30 each day, as they have chosen to put my up in a nice hotel it seems mad to commute. This is pretty early for my to finish and they are going to give me a pretty liberal food allowance, so I don't really have to go back to the hotel until late evening.

So I wondered if any of you have any good tips for places to go and play around with a camera when it's dark. Preferable not too dodgy as I can't be doing with getting my head kicked in. Equipment wise, I don't want to be lugging a tripod around on the tube, however I'm happy to take a bag with my lenses and camera in.

Anywhere in central London for urban architecture - but take a tripod at night.

when it is dark (i.e. black sky) it is not a great time to do landscape or architectural photography. (5:30 will be too late now). Your best bet is early mornings in my view.

The South Bank. Anywhere along the Queen's Walk from Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge. Amazing river shots and architecture shots. Plus the Christmas market is now outside the Southbank Centre if you want to try some low-light street photography.

Thanks guys - appreciate the advice.

I will look at booking that lecture on monday once I have spoken to the course instructors and made sure of my shedule.
