Any idea what this is called?

This has been appearing on my monitor for a while now and getting slowly worse. It's a "light" down the left hand edge of the screen that "reverse vignettes" in the corners.

I'm struggling to Google it because I don't really know how to describe it and wondered if it had a name? Closest I could find was backlight bleed but none of the images I've seen look like this.

Backlight bleed it is, though surprising that it's changing in intensity.

Have to say I'm a little disappointed. Won't be buying BenQ again.

(Edit 3 months after the warranty ran out too!)

Does anyone know if it gets worse over time?

I'd thought it was baked in from the beginning with IPS monitors - not heard of it getting worse before.
