Looking to buy a small multi gym and just seeing what people might have used.
I have lost a lot of weight over the last 9 months and just want to tone things up in addition to cycling.

Thanks

Being an ex military pti I can tell you they are a waste of money unless you spend big.
Better off doing
Press ups
Sit ups
2 x dumbbells for arms and shoulders....(curls lateral raises etc )

I looked into them a while back.

Realised pretty much what was said above - you need to spend a lot of money to get one worth having. And you need a ton of space too. Take what looks like a good one... and double it. So I took a different approach. I now have a 20kg cast iron dumbell set and I've got a basic but sturdy bench coming my way soon. It seems there are a lot of exercises you can do with that setup which allow toning of almost every muscle group.

I will pick up another dumbell set as some exercises need a lower weight and I can't be arsed to faff about changing weights on my bars all the time.

As above really, if you want to spend big then fine. Otherwise look at a bench (one that allows you to use it as an incline/decline bench is a big bonus, and adds a lot of options) and get a dumbell set that goes up to a decent weight. There's more than enough exercises that can be done with your own body weight + a set of dumbells and a bench.

Waste of money. Get a squat rack, barbell and weights instead.

Thanks for the replies. Plenty to think about.

Kettlebell - one 35lb kettlebell with a good 30-40 min workout and you will be frigged!

yep pretty much what has already been said, I looked at this last year as I feel weights have been instrumental in helping me tone with the 5 1/2 stone loss but in the end I got a barbell and dumbells with weights and use my surroundings or do routines that do not require a bench so much.

aside from that sit ups, lunches and a few yoga poses have really helped, 5 1/2 stone in less than 6 months I was really worried about sagging and I still have a bit around my tum to sort but my upper body and bum, thighs, legs are superb, best I have ever been.
