Yes
I've been roped into playing in a corporate golf day because I used to play 30 years ago at school. However, having had a quick leson and a couple of sessions on a local range, I think that I might take it up again. At least it more enjoyable exercise than the gym (although less in the way of leotards ;) ).

Anybody else here play golf? Are there any good foums (friendly like this one). Anybody play local to either St Ives (Cambridge) or Harrogate?

Yes, I play a little. A good forum is golfmagic.com, Hacker I believe is a prominent poster there.

Personally the snobbery puts me off membership of a club.

I play a little, although not for a while (mostly as Veracocha says, snobbery puts me off too). I forget who said it, though they hit the nail on the head, Golf is a good walk ruined...I prefer to call golf 'whack-sh*t' as that's the sound I make when I play and my ball flies out of bounds into 6' deep stingers for the 6th time in a round.

I'm a member of my local club. I play a few holes, a few nights a week and try to use the practice area as much as possible. I'm still rubbish though although I take lessons which do help. We should organise a TP Golf Day sometime.

I like golf, have not been for ages though. have been playing since i was like 8 years old, well that is when i started going with my dad anyway.

I play a little Golf just to keep me interested in the long walk
and im getting pritty good at Tiger Woods on my 360

I used to play with my lad, who is awesome, and who is a member at the Celtic Manor (home of 2010 Ryder Cup) but my trouble with playing is that I stand too close to the ball... after I have hit it!! :):)

I am crap at golf. At the driving the range I managed to chip the ball into the roof of the thing and ping it round all the lights. THe people next to me didnt look comfortable afterwards
