Generally, my decision is easy. If I'm printing snapshots (commonly 6x4 or the like) which I do increasingly infrequently I use snapfish or whoever has the best deal on at the time. Volumes tend to be high and the cost of carriage is not material. If I am printing out one of my own Great Works of Art, or more commonly a proof print before sending to a decent processor, I will use some of my hoarded supply of Epson Unicorn Wee.

Only, now I want to print a small number of 5x7 or 10x8 snaps for family, which would be expensive on the inkjet but also relatively expensive online because of the typically £5 or more carriage.

I wondered if anyone knows a good way around this very small and very first world problem.

Ah yes. Thanks for the replies, plz to be noting the time of my post, it appears stupidity AND alcohol may have been implicated in the creation of this thread. As Awfers points out, delivery charges for a small volume of prints aren't unreasonable, as compared with the misplaced expectation that I would be lumbered with the £6 or £7 you have to pay for upwards of 100 or so prints.
