A department at work has a Canon s5 camera
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canons5is/
one of the metal connectors on the battery door has come off and they have lost it (see photo)
buying a battery door is about £30 so its not finacially viable to do, but i wondered if any of you lovely folk had a suggestion on how it could be fixed? might someone on this forum have a similar camera that is dead and could send the metal bit? dont know, thought i'd check as i hate chucking things away!
also the budget for a new one is under £100 and the pickings are slim..........
