sorry guys I know there are millions of threads asking similair, but well every situation is different soooooo.. any advice, enlightenment woudl be apreciated.
I have a fuji s5 pro (and also a nikon d70) as far as i am aware the fuji will use any lens that would work on a nikon (but mentioned it just in case)
I think it is time for a new lens...
currently i have a 18-70mm DX (D70 kit lens) on the fuji and a 70 - 210 f2.8 on the nikon.
I have done a couple of weddings, one was a complete favour to a friend, and no charge (did it for his wedding present) and the second one was a month ago, and was a friend of the freind (i did charge them but probably not enough)
I am hoping to do more weddings, as I really really enjoyed them both, and it felt very natural and well enough to say I am hoping to get a few more bookings.
at the moment though (untill i get a few more) I am looking at a budget of about £300 for the new lens
I have seen a 18-105 3.5 - 5.6 VR (the d90 kit lens i think) online for 240 (with no box)
and also a sigma 17-70 f2.8 - f4 for the same price.
and a 18-125 3.8 - 5.6 OS all at the same online shop i got the S5 from
with the VR reporting (never used one so dont really know) to give an extra 3 stops , that would give the vr better low light capabilities (if i am reading things correctly) that the 3.5 would suggest.
later when (if things go to plan) i would like to get something like a 17-55 f2.8 but that is out of my price range at the moment.
Does any body have any suggestions. or comments on the lenses i mentioned above (good or bad) thanks.
