Yes
Come on everyone - the sun is out, weather is getting warmer (must be getting close to the end of soccer season ;-) )

So where are photographing this weekend??

Friday : Mersey Tigers - Guildford Heat (BBL)
Saturday : Worcester Wolves (BBL) and hopefully some EBL as well
Sunday : Northampton (Rugby) - and lets face it, I have NO idea of the sport.. it is a sport, right??
Sunday : MK Lions vs Leicester RIders (BBL)

Nice to stay closer to home for a change...

Well for me it's an absolutely massive game down at Throstle Nest on Saturday as Top of the table Farsley take on 2nd placed Bridlington.

With Farsley 6 points clear with superior goal difference and with Brid having 3 games in hand, and only the top team gaining promotion lets just say its a squeaky bum time :D

Also playing myself in an 11 a side game in the morning  Then followed up on Sunday with a crash course in strobist photography with the kind help of a fellow TP member

Despite this being one of the most newsworthy weekends in London for ages (I really really wanted to cover the Goat Race!!), I'll be stuck on the Hants/Dorset boarder, mainly attaching bits of white string to fence posts and pegging down white plastic guttering! :D

Thats a shame Mark, I would give you a hand, but I will be in Orpington with Bigrob watching Westcombe Park RFC get beat take on Southend RFC and maybe have a beer afterwards.

Traveling to Poole on Saturday to cover the FA Calsberg Vase Semi Final 1st Leg between Whitley Bay and Poole Town

Nothing Sunday which is a relief, recover from the trek

At Castle Park, Doncaster on Saturday for Doncaster Knights vs Bedford Blues, then have Doncaster RLFC vs Workington Town on Sunday.

A bit of fun on Saturday, the first game of the Australian Rules Footy season.

Off to Edinburgh early on Sunday, four Scottish Cup hockey semi-finals, back to back.
Which idiot's idea was it to put the clocks forward this weekend?

agree re clock change

leaving 5am sat, 8 hour bus trek, match, edit etc on the 8 hour bus trek home, back at 1am Sunday morning, clocks change at 2  I need that hour

u14s cup final friday night... 6am on a coach to aldershot sat morning for shots v accy

Traveling to Poole on Saturday to cover the FA Calsberg Vase Semi Final 1st Leg between Whitley Bay and Poole Town

according to the NL Mailing list

Meanwhile Poole Town have only sold just over 1,400 of their tickets for Vase home Semi 1st Leg with holders Whitley Bay tomorrow. This includes the away allocation.

Only? seems quite decent to me.

They made the game all ticket and limited it to 2000.

THey also have segregation in place for the away fans , to my knowledge Whitley are taking around 250 fans down, probably closer to 300 which is something in itself, Poole have one confirmed bus for the 2nd leg

They have between 6-700 when they knocked favorites spennymoure out of the competition

your telling me :).. thats very good for whitley let alone the distance involved..

They have had a decent following for a while, there crowd last weekend for example was some 300-350 bigger than that of Blyth Spartans who are in the Blue Square Premier IIRC

Something i've been looking forward to since the last round to be honest. I have a confirmed booking i'm doing and just had another email about usage in the local sunday paper so thats good, there maybe two other locals aswell for me to sort out

I've just returned home from covering a two day ice skating event. Saturday evening is a kick boxing event and Sunday a rugby tournament.

Should be a good game hopefully with the pitch drying out. Here's hoping for some running rugby.

I hope so, Southend wanting to continue their winning run of 7 games and to get within a couple of points of Richmond in 3rd and Westcombe Park needing points to get away from the bottom, 2 teams who need a win.

Whatever the outcome, here's to a good game.

Saturday - Bath v Leicester Tigers
Sunday - Canterbury Crusaders v Natal Sharks (first Super 15 match to be played abroad, should be fun) need to decide whether to get an 1.4 extender, seeing as we're usually a fair way from the action at Twickenham

Never pack away with Whitley, always play to the end, they have won the last few games in the last few minutes
