Hi all

I am the proud owner of a canon 550d no idea how to use it, but it did come with instruction booklet ( always handy) so hopefully will get lots of tips on here. I must confess I know NOTHING about taking photos - so this is going to be a very interesting journey! Anyone fancy being a mentor??LOL
 
I would join a local camera club lots of good advice there

Hi and welcome to TP - You've come to the right place to learn that's for sure. There's plenty of helpful folks on here. The best bit of advice would be to start taking pictures and posting them for crit. You'll soon see improvements.

Thanks for the welcome. I am in Leeds area ( west yorkshire) As for the tip on talking photo's - I did take quite a few yesterday. I am now going to spend the evening trying to post them on here for some very welcome critique. ( pls be as brutal as u wish)
 
Ha Ha Ben! post a link u said - now thats funny! I am sat looking at lightroom 5 I can see my images but what the hell do I do now!!. This is going to be a Longggggggggggggg process methinks. U might have to wait a while to see my images.....................................:dummy1:
