I’m on the look out for upgrading my Nikon Z50. I currently have it with the 2 kit lenses and a Viltrox 33mm 1.4 so not a huge amount of investment.
But it’s time for a change I think I am down to 3 possibles but the more I look the higher the possibles get. I basically want a better body and a travel zoom to start with then buy better lenses when money is available.
My current possibles are
Canon R7
Sony A6700
Canon R8

I do manly walk around travel photography but I would also like to get back into do occasional sports and motorsports.

Any advice or opinions would be greatly received?on this constantly asked question

I wanted a light option to just grab instead of all my full frame kit, the a6700 was my choice paired with the 16mm, 35mm and 56mm Contemporary f1.4 primes. These cover all my needs and the camera is a joy too use.

Have you given any thought to MFT cameras? as travel is mentioned somthing a bit lighter may be the answer. A micro fourth thirds lens gives twice the zoom length in a smaller package. So I went for the Panasonic G9ii as well as having the G9 earlier version. To give some idea a MFT lens say of 100-400mm is the same as a full frame lens of 200- 800mm but a lot smaller. One huge advantage is you can use any MFT lens make on any MFT camera. Also not only does the camera have excellent OIS but so do most of the pana lenses as well doubling up the optical stablisation

can I point you to this link to give some idea

I don't think you will be disappointed with the panasonic G9ii, check it out on youtube. Best move I ever made after leaving Nikon due to weight of lenses etc.

Disclaimer " I have no financial connection with panasonic" just one very happy customer

Taken with the G9 and panasonic 45 mm macro lens (hand held)
