Hi All, Just joined yesterday but didn't get chance to say hi.

This forum looks very interesting and I am looking forward to exchanging views etc and getting to know some like minded folk.

I am using Canon gear and am now looking to expand on my lenses and may go for a Sigma 70-200 2.8 next instead of Canon to see how they compare as they are so much cheaper.

Sadly I know nothing of Canon lenses, so can't offer you an opinion on the sigma vs canon, although I suspect the Canon will be sharper, hence the extra cost

Hi all and thanks for the warm welcome.
Wez130 - I am in Gateshead
Dod - I will get the Sigma as so far I have not really seen enough difference to warrant paying all that money for the Canon. If it turns out that there is a vast difference then I'll get the Canon and sell the Sigma
