Hi everyone,
Joined forum so I can distinguish between pixels and pixars.
I have so much more to learn but I appear to have a decent camera for the purposes I need it for (at least I think I have).
Canon cyber-shot 14.2mp (so no shortage of pixels but of course good photography is not all about pixels - or so I am told)
As a metal detectorist I am fortunate to have found many good finds over the years. And now I want to be taking those perfect close up pics to bring out the most detail (particularly on coins)
I use picasa to crop pics and then I use the free cloud service of google photos to host the picture. It sounds like I have a decent bit of knowledge but its the taking of the photo in the first place that I am surely needing more schooling in and understanding all the bells and whistles on my particularly camera. For example I have 'lost' the macro function which used to appear on the lcd. Additionally I should probably be looking at a tripod to take shake free pics. (cut back on the vodka and whiskys eh)
But I will surely be using the forums as I go along and look forward to receiving much needed advice from the experts here.
Many thanks !
