Been lurking for a little while and now want to start using the excellent resources on here.
I've had a Canon 350D for about 5 years and now upgraded to a 7D in the last couple of weeks. Had a bad experience trying buy from that auction site and got burnt for the first time but subsequently bought via this forum and I am well pleased so far.
I really need to go and spend time learning the new camera, main interests are motorsport and railways although I also attend the odd airshow. My son was using a 400D or 450D (can't recall which) and upgraded to a 7D last year. Using his camera convinced me to upgrade though I've kept the 350D as a back up body.
Still using my original lenses (Canon 18-55 kit lens, 70-200 f4 and 75-300 f4 - not 100% certain on this last one) and thinking of trying to find a 70-200 f2.8 in time once I've got used to the camera. Really need, as I've said, to master the camera first.
