Hello everybody
I got pointed towards here from a motorbike bike forum of all places!! (www.trackdayriders.co.uk)
I've recently taken the plunge and bought a MK2 eos 5D and thought I'd better join a forum as I'm sure to have a few questions and maybe be able to answer some!!
For the past 10 years or so I'd sort of given up on serious photography just trying to take well composed shots with small compacts but trying to add different and inventive aspects in an attempt to create something worth looking at. When I was taking it seriously I was shooting with an EOS 3, then the digital SLR's came along costing far more than I could ever afford at the time.
With an impending 3 month work trip to Barcelona coming up, with a lot of free time, I took the plunge and bought the 5D with the plan being to cycle around the city taking pictures of things that intrigue/excite/astound etc. Whilst doing this I hope to explore the features of the camera to create images that are more than just well composed.
So, I'm off to explore the forum
Cheers
