Hello all,

I'm David, new to the forum but I've been a happy snapper since for around 7 years however the last year or two due to work I never got to spend as much time on photography as I wanted. Thankfully now that I've moved back to N.Ireland from Sheffield I should all change. I've always wanted to join a camera club or the like to try and improve my technique etc but often struggle to find the time time to commit to going out to a club and getting stuck in.... So I'm hoping Talkphotography will be able to become my Virtual camera club so to speak :P

Welcome!
I'm fairly new here to, you'll find it a great place and everyone's very helpful. I'm much in the same boat never enough hours in the day. One thing I did find that helped was to get involved in projects. Especially one that has deadlines, in that way you 'have' to get out there and do it by the deadline. Also with different genres given all the time you learn aspects of photography you wouldn't necessarily approach otherwise.

Sbowler579 there shall be plenty as I will be getting to re-explore home again as I've been living in England for the last 7 years so seeing things I took for granted a little differently.

69bonni thanks for the tips. I think projects with deadlines would really help as as you say gives would make me use time wisely!
