Edit My Images
Yes
Im just trying to learn Lightroom new to this, so sorry for the basic questions. Iv noticed that when I export an image out of LR say to desktop or Documents folder etc it is no where near as sharp as the original in LR iv tried different resolutions, sharpening, different file formats ,image size & unchecking Image size in the export dialogue panel & followed recommended settings on some YouTube tutorials but still does not look sharp. what is going on? If I print the image or send it to a prining company for example, will I not get the same sharpness as I can see in LR or is this something I don't have to worry about.
thanks for any info
Marc.

Sharpness level of the exported jpeg will depend on your export settings.

Not come across this issue myself and have been using Lightroom since it first launched.

Prints will be based of the exported file.

Im aware it will depend on export settings but iv tried many including recommendations but NO on my Mac the exported file is no where near as sharp as the original viewed in LR zooming in its very very obvious

It may be helpful if you post a screenshot of the export settings and someone may be able to identify where the issue is.

What file format are you importing, and what file format are you exporting?

It may be due to the viewing software, rather than Lr. Are you just hitting space-bar to view on the Mac?

I find it best to host from Flickr , the shots are pretty well spot on

very difficult to diagnose without transparency of the exporting workflow
