Hi everyone - excellent forum this! Been looking for a good UK forum for a while.
At risk of boring you....
I have recently got back into photography, after a 'break' of almost 20 years. I did an 'O' level in photography back in '89, converted the boiler cupbaord to a darkroom for processing the films, but didn't carry it on much due to University etc. so it's amazing to see how things have moved on.
I borrowed my Dad's Olympus OM10 in those days, with a Hoya and Vivitar Zoom lens and the Oly 50mm standard prime.
Now I use a Canon 40D, with 430EX, 17-85 IS kit lens, 50mm F1.8 II and 70-200 L F4 IS (only had it 3 weeks and loving this lens!).
Enjoying it a LOT and learning / remembering things with almost every frame!
I had a 400D last year, and I have to say the upgrade to 40D is well worth it for the better AF, viewfinder, build/ergonomics, speed etc.
Looking forward to helping others and getting some great advice / opinions here...
Dave
