For ages I've been trying to find a gas fire that can be wall mounted, run 24/7 and have a flue length of several metres, mostly horizontal. An old robinson-willey gas fire used to be the ideal thing but you cannot get them now.

I've looked at catalytic fires. They're fussy about where they go and can't be used all the time.

Baxi fires can be used all the time but they have to be on an external wall. No outside wall where this fire needs to be.

Electric isn't an option due to huge running costs it will incur.

Are there any powered flue wall mounted gas fires available at all?

The fire will be used to heat a hallway in a house that doesn't have central heating and parents won't budge about having central heating. I think the latter is the most sensible solution with a few radiators on internal walls in rooms where there aren't fires currently. Or possibly install a large output gas fire in the dining room that does have an outside wall and leave the door open so it will let heat into the rest of the house. Both seem slightly silly compared to finding something like a baxi that has a longer flue option.
