Gosh we are brave.
We are planning a few trips abroad and the small insurance brokers we used to use has gone so I'm hoping one or two of you have a couple of suggestions for annual travel insurance for Europe for 2 over 50's.
Anyone got any experience and suggestions please ?

I am a fan of Direct Line - good cover for covid, will ask about any conditions so unless you have nothing wrong will need to call.

We have used the Post Office for our last three annual policies.
Paid out when our Eurostar was cancelled and had a wait overnight for the next available seats.

It's been a few years now, but I always found Saga to be very good. Not necessarily the cheapest, but offering the best cover for the money. :)

Thanks again for your replies.
I've had a couple of operations on my shoulder over the last 2 years and was taking a lot of painkillers so feel a need to confess and my first attempts with form filling have left me feeling that maybe talking to someone might be a good idea, so may try to find an actual human insurance broker to see if that makes me feel fully 'fessed up!

Used LV for our last few trips pre covid and they were well priced and covered our existing conditions. We made a claim while in US, they sorted out a doctor, paid for consultation and treatment so we were not left out of pocket and having to reclaim.

Thanks even more!
I've now taken the brave and brash decision to go with Allclear after a friend recommended them as well as @Craig1912.

I'm with Staysure as I have MS. Never needed to claim so can't say what the actual insurance is like though.

As the saying goes you do not find out how good your insurance is until you need to claim. I have claimed twice on travel insurance, once when we were snowed in at Disneyland Paris and had to stay for extra days. My insurance paid out, which I got through my employer, but my mother’s M&S policy did not. The other time was when I dropped a camera on a photography trip and my policy paid out. Again through my employer.

Read the terms of whatever policy you choose and reviews.
