as many of you might know from postings on here i was rejected on finance from warehouse express for a lens i was ordering.
today i got the letter through the post, stating this or rather it didnt state this, all i got in the letter was a "with complements" slip and then a letter that is obviously a computer printout, which actually starts off without even addressing me,
"We have compiled the following information for customers whose credit application was unsuccessful. the information herein explains how we reach our decision and offers advice how you can query the decision"
not really a polite or acceptable way to start a letter is it, no "dear sir" or "Dear Mr Barber, We are sorry to inform you that your credit application has been declined"
i find this realy rude as i certainly wouldnt send a letter to someone without actually addressing them in it.
for this warehouse express, you have LOST my future business, and i shall take it elsewhere
other annoyances are that nowhere in the letter does it give any clue as to WHY i was failed (it doesnt even address me with a name so i cant applying to the checking company with the name they used (maybe they got it wrong??), oh no standard policy that a company that holds your details wants you to pay to find out what they know about you! the last time i had to do one of these was for a company called equifax who charged me money to tell me i didnt exist (they couldnt find me on records so took my money and ran.... ****s).
why the hell should i have to pay to find out, surely there is something wrong with the data protection act if this is allowed, i should be able to freely find out any information which a company holds about me, and i should not have to pay them for the privilage. and to cap it off i wont find out WHY my application has been declined, and this rejection will go as a black mark against myself for the future.
anyone else been rejected on credit and had to pay to find out what information is preventing their application from being accepted?
anyway im off to write a rude letter to warehouse express, clydesdale financial services and experian limited, just to let them know about my grevences
