weekly Anita's 52 in 2014

& another lamb to the slaughter for a 2nd year...looking forward to seeing your images Anita , you posted some great stuff last year

Like it. Plenty of lines and the shadow work really well. The processing, specifically the colours adds the the feel.

Crit, well, symmetry is a must in these and the bottom is slightly out. Looks like it may not have been taken perfectly straight on. The door knobs looks slightly unlevel (if there is such a word?). I am, of course, being uber critical.

Cheers.

This can't be a recent image, when did the West Mids last get sunshine through the window ?

Its interesting how the door on the picture right is at a slightly different angle to the source of light resulting in slightly darker shadows. :plus1:

I like it but it also breaks my eyes. Cant really offer any constructive crit. The centre of the doors is centre image, the rest is nicely symetrical. Ah, and the bottom of the cupboards are not perfectly horizontal  - where was your artifcial horizon?

I like it (y) I like the fact you've stood to the left, as as opposed to being stood straight on to the cupboards, creating the bottom of the doors to be off horizontal but the centre line to be vertical :)

Loads of lovely lines going on a a nice use of light

After seeing all the blinds I had almost expected someone to try this, just with the weather in the UK I didn't expect anyone to get the opportunity.

Thanks for your comments.
maybe you should all pay a visit to my part of the country....sunny Birmingham:whistle:

Nice capture of the blind shadows on the cupboard doors. Simple and effective image.

Hi Anita, I like that great use of shadows and light

beautiful start - lovely lines, and diagonals and the the soft hint of colour there too.

I think i'd prefer this without the door knobs, however its still a great shot.

Hi
Yes maybe i will have a go at a different crop...may help sort out the fact that the bottom of doors arent level. Thanks

I like the simplicity of this, just enough door detail to make it interesting without taking anything away from the shadows.

Very nice Anita - I do like a bit of back lighting - the tones on this are very pretty.

Yeah, that really works. Doesn't appear blown at all and the orange works really well.

I do think the queen would work better but the silhouette of the night is better.

Wonder what a full knight reflection would look like.

Cheers.
