Yeah, i've read that too.The highland wildlife park near kingguisse has a breeding program on the cards- but their male isnt yet sexually mature. That aside the closest one is probably Rhenen in Holland (where the HWP male came from).
Personally i'd rather go to svarlbard to see them in the wild as polar bears don't generally do well in captivity

AFAIK, the HWP's female bear (Mercedes) was euthanised in 2011. They have two males now, both around 6 - 7 years old, so I suppose any breeding programme will have to involve borrowing a female or artificial insemination.
