I am trying to find an angle finder for my Canon 5D Mk iii, does anyone know which adapter I need to go with a Canon Angle Finder C for compatibility?
I see there are EC-C/ D/ and E adapters for it but many used ones I'm seeing online only come with one usually a C or D.

Alternatively is there any third party angle finders you might recommend that would fit a 5diii eyepiece? I don't want to go down the external monitor route as I have a slightly dodgy usb port on the camera I don't want to make worse.

Thanks!

The Canon USA site mentions:

Angle Finder C lets you adjust the viewing angle while providing a 2.5x magnification for critical focusing with a full screen image that also shows exposure data.

Provided with built-in dioptric adjustment for variations in eyesight. Includes: Adapter Ec-C and Ed-C to fit any EOS camera.

A recent thread asking for an angle finder for Fujis brought THIS universal one up.
Thanks, I will take a look at that one.

Yeah, I read that but struggle to get how it would work as the eye cup fitting on my 5d is a lot bigger than the fitting on my 600d and both are EOS cameras so there must be some difference between the ed-c/d/e adapters I just can't figure out which one is the right one. If the c is good for all EOS versions what the heck are the d and e versions for then? I guess I will just get an ed-c one and hope for the best (and make sure the seller has a good returns policy).

Ah I think I am confusing something, it seems the ec-c and ed-c are the adapters for the angle finder, now I just need to know which one will fit the 5d as the used ones I am seeing that don't cost a fortune all seem to come with one or the other.
