Yup, I've jumped on the bandwagon too. Ive been posting it on my website but thought I would post it here too as you lot are responsible for starting this off, ( yeah well Ive got to blame someone).
I started on Febraury 1st this year, with only one rule - all photos to be taken within 24 hours of the day they are posted.
So here goes with the catch up.

On February 1st I was feeling good and did something very foolish, I went cycling for the first time in 4 years with the aim of capturing a nice sunset locally. I only cycled 2 miles away and back again, but boy have I been ill since! You see I used to climb mountains and think nothing of cycling 20 miles a day on my days off (from a busy nursing job), until I suffered Chronic fatigue syndrome 18 months ago. Since then its been a slow move forward and very challenging to simply only walk a mile or two at a time as I'm rather stubborn and my mind seems to think my body can do more than my body can cope with now! Unfortunately cycling is no longer for me, its the wrong type of exercise for someone with this condition, so I will stick to gentle hiking instead - lesson well learnt ( for now). Anyway I did get one nicish shot of the sun going down in the local fiels and enjoyed watching these horses.

Today it snowed in Bristol, woohoo. First proper snow in 4 years since moving down south. What a bunch of softies southerners are taking days off school and work for 4 inches of snow, lol. I come from Newcastle where I remember one time still making it to work in 4-5 ft deep snow via a bus then a metro train, then another bus and a walk - wasn't so easy getting back mind! This is my garden in the snow this night.

A bit chilly today outside and I could not do much, feeling quite ill. So opted for photographing one of the baby crested geckos. These guys were actually thought to be extinct until they were rediscovered in New Caledonia in 1994. Now they are one of the most comonly kept pet geckos.

Lots more snow again, so I decided I did not have the energy to build a snowman, so attempted something a bit different - a Snow crested gecko:D

Still nice and snowy. The cats had a ball in the snow and I had just as much fun trying to capture them. This is my Snow spotted bengal cat - Bali.

A friend of mine gave me a few stick insects to keep and photograph, so I thought I would attempt capturing them today.

Still feeling pretty dreadful and barely able to stand up never mind leave the house so I opted for shotting my trusty treefrogs.

I'm one of those lucky people, even if I am stuck indoors I have things to keep me occupied endlessly and these frogs keep me fascinated constantly.

I actually managed to walk to the local shops today and was gutted to discover my local florist is closing down due to the credit crunch. I will miss them so much and will support them as much as I can in their last 8 weeks. Hence a tulip shot - an HDR one though, macro too.

Feeling a bit better finally and managing to to a bit more, although still mainly confined to the house.
Trying to come up with new ideas for capturing reptiles and amphibians, one was on glass to enable the viewer to be able to see more of them. This is my favourite shot of the day. The walk of life.

Thanks Dave.

It may be Friday the 13th but I have had a lovely day today and have been spoilt rotten by my fiance.

Love the tree frogs and snow Gecko

I want one!!! :D

Any tips on what to look for, health wise? Sorry to hijack your thread but I've always wanted one, and you seem extremely experienced.

My tip would be to join the captivebred forums and ask on there, there are several of us from this forum that post there every day, so you will got lots of advice from numerous experienced people rather than one.;) come on over and check us out.

Just a quick snapshot for yesterday, was feeling dreadful and still am. This is one of our cats, Melody, checking out my flowers. I saw my Dr yesterday who confirmed a diagnosis of chronic ME and referred me to the specialist. But I cant winge as lots of good things are happenning too. I have a photograph being published and used by Maidstone museum, several to be used by the South Wales reptile and amphibian group on their new website re native retiles and conservation, had one of my photographs featured as a daily deviation on deviant art resulting in almost 10,000 views and in a couple of weeks I have a few of my images appearing in the next issue (54) of Advanced photoshop magazine.:D

OOoohhhh HDR'd flowers!

Just catching up . . . Some great variation, so many fantastic images, WELL DONE YOU!!!

Feb 28 is very intersting, looks like HDR, any other special processing?

Hi Dellipher and Shrub monkey, thanks for commenting.

I cant remember everything I did with the photo of Tynemouth priory, but can show you the original so you get the idea, lots of manipulation went on to make a spooky pic.

Sorry Im late with posting these, had a bit of a problem with my internet connection, plus Ive not been too well with ME, barely getting out of the house lately.
March 1st
We drove to a lovely spot near me called Bitterwell lake where the fishermen go and I caught a few late afternoon pics.

Not much time for taking photographs today, but I did make my own rule of using any photo taken within 24 hours of the date, so here is another from the 1st.

I was very tempted to use this image to enter the monthly competition on here, but as its anonymous, I realised a few people might guess it was me just from the frog, so I decided against using it.

One from yesterday, my daughter was messing around, dressing up and singing so I grabbed a couple of snaps then had fun playing in photoshop with them.

Just taken a look through all of your 365 and some very nice work there.

March 3rd is Fab! Is little froggie happy posing all the time in various flowerS? :D

Thanks guys, I use a different frog each time and usually wake them in early evening so its not too much of a fright for them. I only get them out for 5-10 minutes at a time too and try to limit myself to 10 minutes with each frog per week. They are thriving and eating well, I would not photograph them if I was at all worried as Im a bit of a softie with my pets. Most of the time they only climb/hop about for a minute or two until they find a comfy spot to fall asleep, occassionally they climb around a lot and this is when I tend to put them back quickly, unless I have set up a little marathon assault course for them;):D.
They have grown so quickly, almost doubled in size in about 3-4 months.

I took my camera along to my partners venomous room today and this was my favourite shot - a Saw scaled viper.

some fantastic shots - my frogs are shy boys but my python is a bit happier posing !

2 x Whites Tree Frogs - they don't like being handled much and I don't like to stress them out

I must get into the swing of posting these daily.
Heres Fridays - 6th March. I didnt sleep well that night so gotr up in the early hours and took a few shots of my male leaftailed gecko from Madagascar as he is nocturnal.

Saturday 7th was a great day as I took my daughter along to a free junior photography day held by Ephotozine at the Barn owl centre in Gloucester, a fantastic time was had by a lot of budding young photographers and some amazing photography is viewable as a result over on their website. I nipped along to Gloucester cathedral and caught this image, I know it looks a little wonky but the verticals on the door are straight to my eye. I played around a little with a mono conversion and split toning. I had taken bracketted shot to process an HDR but seem to have lost my photomatix plugin when mycomputer was rebuilt(cries)

Sunday 8th. Spent a quiet family day in today chilling and looking through my daughters amazing in flight shots of birds of prey and building a website for her - www.bethmania.co.uk
Then I ended up being inspiured by her attempts at taking abstract photographs of my computer keyboard in macro at f2.4, this spurned me on to try my own attempt at a macro abstract image of the spiral ring binders that hold a4 lined paper together.

Ive not taken a photograph yet today, so will do in the next hour or so.

I was so tired last night and had not taken any photos, my inspiration finally came when I stole my partners bath full of bubbles:lol:. A texture layer added to make it more interesting.
