Hehe I can see your dilemma Andy, the bird is in perfect position in the first shot and the DoF and focusing is perfect in the second. Nice shots though : ) good luck for the rest

I like the take and the light is great.

Prefer the focus on #2 but understand the pose in #1 is the better...This is exacerbated by the bird (necessarily) having his back to us.

Hi Andy, great start. I was hoping someone would do a bird or animal pic.
I agree with the comments above about the choice between #1 and#2.
I really like the texture and clour in the wood.

Hi Andy, great take on the theme and well done on capturing this shot. I have to say that I like both, but prefer the first one because you can see the birds beak holding the grass.
