OK, this was a rushed attempt at the odd theme so please be gentle.................

I like the idea behind this one, it was a common theme in our house over christmas, a chocolate box with just the ones left nobody wants.
I like the image but find the blue corners, top right and bottom left distracting.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks for the feedback, the background was a problem as I had nothing else to use. It's actually the wife's yoga mat lol. :)
 
Good idea to start with, I know what you mean about rushed......the purple one also seems a bit out of focus or is it just my eyes??
 
Can't comment on the focus at the moment, as I've had far too much beer, but I'll try harder in future :wacky:

Odd - Agree about unsure where the focus is, but with them wrappers I'm not surprised, It's a lovely bright image though and a good idea for the theme :thumbs:

I like this idea. Not bothered about the focus as for me it's veering towards an abstract. Good start!

works as an abstract...crit's been covered so onwards & upwards to week 1 :)

I find large sheets of plain stiff paper work well as backgrounds....local hobby shop should stock them
 
I think because the purple wrapper is less translucent than the others my eye's are more drawn to the gold toffees in this shot. If you have any of those left can you share them round please.:D

I would have failed miserably with this, my hand hurts every time I pick up a pen nowadays, I'm so used to typing!
To me the white balance doesn't look quite right and the OCD in me would like to see all the lines exactly centred in the frame (Star Wars credits style :) ), you appear to be off to the right a little.
 
Hahaaaa good one Andy - Agree a good DoF and perfect toof the theme, part of me wants the lines level and lined up as Chris mentions, but then I also think that would look too regimental so should be on the squif - Good luck with the next theme :thumbs:

I tinkered with the WB and have a lovely blue version :) Star Wars style would have been a great idea, wish I had of thought of that. I can live with being off to the right, the paper curled with all the writing :)

I only have a bridge for digital photos so a little limited with DoF, my film SLR's would be better to use but the time scales are aginst me.
 
Ah, that takes me back! Good idea and DoF.

Perhaps needs a tweak to WB to make the paper whiter - unless of course it isn't white, in which case, apologies!
