Hi all

Re : Android 12

I finished setting up my new phone and this evening spotted a symbol in the top right hand corner of the screen I have not previously seen.

Now, from right to left the symbols in that corner are:-

Battery % , Battery Level Icon , SIM signal strength (and e.g. 4G if if data is on) , WiFi signal strength 'fan' icon.

Now the additional one that comes and goes but at the moment is on for long periods looks like... the phone handset symbol with a tiny version of the WiFi fan signal strength symbol in the curve of the phone handset symbol.

I cannot find it in the Moto icons guides anywhere.

Over to the wider TP membership for welcome insight:)

TIA :giggle:

Via google, is this the symbol?

"it's showing that you're connected to a WiFi network for data but your calls are still going through your carrier. In other words you're not using WiFi calling. If you had both available then you'd see the same WiFi signal icon for your phone calls and data. When not connected to WiFi it'll show the traditional carrier signal for data and for calls."

Ah! Thanks for that.......though not that symbol but put me on the trail of WiFi calling(phone symbol with WiFI symbol combined as I was trying to describe)..... though I did not knowingly set it I have now turned it off and the symbol has disappeared ~ phew :D
