Android Auto and Amazon Prime Music

This is the first car I've had that has Android Auto (VW ID.7). However I'm struggling with Android Auto and uncertain if it's the VW software or Amazon

I've discovered that you can't search for music via Auto so I created a playlist with several albums. Going to the library it only shows the first two albums in the list and the only way I've managed to move down the playlist is to play the last track of the second album; this effectively scrolls down to the next album in the list. Whilst this isn't great what is more annoying is that when I go back back to the playlist e.g. after listening to a podcast it reverts to the first album in the list and not what I had been listening to.

I appreciate I could make multiple playlists consisting of one or two albums each but seem a very clunky solution.

Any advice please or even confirmation that it's either Amazon or my iteration if the VW software is the issue

I think the only people that understand how Amazon Music works are the ones that wrote it. I gave up trying to make their playlists work years ago and now only play albums - that's difficult enough. :headbang:

Glad it's not just me then

I've been using computers daily since the seventies and the Amazon Music app has got to be one of the most frustrating bits of software I've ever used, so don't feel bad.

There's not even a YT tutorial that shows how to operate it, so I don't think we're alone.

I'd be as grateful as you for any guidance as I use the Amazon Alexa app to control everything - doors, curtains, lights, coffee machine, vacuum cleaner, TV, stereo etc. It would be nice if the music app was more intuitive.
