Yes
..my old one is sitting gathering dust, so I am wondering if it is worth hanging on to as a second body, or selling on for a better second body when the bank allows..

Just sold my body only for £150 - I kept the kit lens.

I had all the original packaging, original battery, charger, leads etc.

That's the sort of price they seem to be going for on ebay
You'd need to include all the software, cables etc and probably the lens to achieve it

Unless you desperately need the cash I'd hang on to it

So, what should I do - I am broke, having just got me a 50mm 1.4 and a 70-200 2.8 (well, almost - money is about to change hands, and thanks to those involved..) but a second body is needed for a wedding in December - the groom, who is a photographer, had his camera fail on him at his brother-in-laws wedding, making me doubly sure I need a back up...
So, what do I do - sell if for £180 odd, and find the rest for another 30d, or go really silly and get a 40d... Neither of which I can afford (seriously - kids need to eat, as do I.. wife can survive..)

I guess I would probabley hang on to it as a back up 'till at least after the wedding, as it doesn't give you a lot of time to get to grips with a new / different camera before the big day
Then look around at the "January sales" if you want a 40D etc
IMHO
Edit BTW they ( 300D) seem to be on flea-bay S/H for around £250 inc kit lens

If the wife can survive on no food keep get rid of hungry kids they are costing you your 40d unless they are willing to go out and work give you all the money then the wife has to go:thinking:
