RIP Sir Terry.

What's going on in the world.

R.I. P Terry, another great name gone. I enjoyed listening to him on radio and some of his well known quotes.

:(

Phil beat you to it.

Already a thread here

Bíonn fear eile mór irish a shuíochán ar neamh.......

Oh this is sad.
RIP Sir Terry.

Seems he was a voice and a personality who was always in my life from as far back as I can memember.

He was 16 years older than me....

RIP Terry

He was a proper gent and a real funny fella. I think everyone loved Tel :(

Another legend gone :(

RIP Terry....always thought he was a good bloke.

Another friend gone but will not easily be forgotten.

I used to really enjoy his breakfast show on R2, he was very witty and you felt as though he was talking to you, not at you,
like some I could mention.

RIP Tel from one of your TOG's

Definitely one of a kind - a stand out personality of his time.

He was once asked how many listeners he had for his breakfast show.
His reply was 1.
From your post I'd say that's job done Tez.

He got me through many a Eurovision as the wife forced me to watch with her.

I was saddened to hear of Terry Wogan's demise.
I had Bruce Forsyth in the sweepstake.

:runaway:

A very great chap who did a great deal for charity and aided many people with his fund raising'
lots of heaven vouchers accrued, St Peter waiting for him with a golden blanket blank microphone :-)

Radio 2 has gone into a bit of a tailspin the last couple of days. I have to say listening to Chris Evans this morning had me shedding a tear or 2 and also in fits of laughter

I'll be digging out the Janet and John CD this week.

I heard the early one, this morning about Johns shoes, I was in hysterics not good driving / weaving through heavy traffic :D

His 'innocence' was amazing, telling those stories to an audience including kids at that time in the morning.

Jonathan Ross or Jeremy Clarkson would be sacked for less

I don't know if you heard, but they were saying later, that he never saw those "scripts" until he read them on air!
Now that is risky :D
