Hello everyone!
After lurking here daily I thought I’d better introduce myself and thought I’d do it in this section as it’s the one I have most interest in.
So a bit of background…after moving to the pixels from film in about 2008 I really started to get into photography, moving away from just snapshots to more ‘considered’ stuff. But as I’ve continued to practice (and become attracted to B&W a lot more) I’ve become increasingly drawn back to film.
So to scratch the itch I got myself a Mamiya 645 Super last year and have also been using a selection of collected equipment that was acquired for novelty value about 15 years ago but never used, including the wonderful Agfa Clack and the veritable Box Brownie. Good fun re-spooling 120 film and then not winding on the film far enough after taking each shot so the images all overlapped, but at least it works! I also have a Kodak folder that’s dying to be tried out and a £7.99-purchase Nikon FG-20 with dodgy metering that’s wearing some of Poundlands finest…
And spurred on by the efforts of those on here, I’m now developing my own B&W negs. I’m using Rodinal and am pleased to say I’ve been successful at each attempt so far using both stand-development (thought I’d start with the easy option) and then lately, with the ‘normal’ shorter time developing.
Now how ‘good’ the negatives are (tonal range etc etc) is another thing but they’ve all been scannable on the Epson; I love the fact that I can look at a couple of framed pics in the house and know that I developed the film pretty much in the kitchen sink!
Hopefully I can contribute and If I’m brave enough at some stage I might even drop an image into the ‘Show us yer film shots’ thread…

welcome to the dark side Dave :) im sure you will enjoy it more and more with each roll you shoot, i know i do :D

Welcome Dave, and very big round of applause for having one of these...

the wonderful Agfa Clack
:clap::clap::clap:

Look forward to seeing some of your shots.

Thanks folks; I'm trying to work up enough courage to put a roll of slide film through the Clack - I've seen some images elsewhere of landscapes done through it on reversal and the quality really outshines the cameras simplicity.
