I have an IG account but none too active on it

This evening I had a "message request" message from a non 'followed, person....now I did not click accept or any other option but look as I might I cannot find the 'Messages folder' that I found mention of when Googled 'where are all messages stored'.

I hope that makes sense and that other TPers might know be able to point me in the right direction :)

it is on your left hand side when you log in... under home / search / explore, assuming you are on a web browser, don't know about the app on a phone though.

Message inbox is the paper airplane icon in top right, and then there is a requests button on the right side of the screen approx 1/3 down from the top. At least, thats how it is on my iphone.

Bingo re: "requests" link/button

So, on 'home' I see the paper airplane go my messages but what I missed was the "requests" click link........and the message request is indeed there.

Thanks both for your replies and help to find what I needed :)

FWIW it was a request, why not a PM, asking about my art (photographs) on my IG which I have added too due my current exhibition.

Frankly I have no idea whether to accept the request and engage in conversation because all of my 'art' is stated as photography and nothing about commissions mentioned in the message request
