Hi all

I am in the process of lookingthrough various hides as I am probably going to end up a buying one. One I have been recommended is the Ameristep Doghouse Blind. Does anyone here have any experience of it?

I have also seen it being sold at the Sportsman Gun Centre (www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/) and wondered if anyone had any experience of buying from them?

Any help greatly appreciated,

Oscar :)

I use to hunt from one (archery and turkey in the US). It is a decent blind. It is fairly large (you could fit a round hay bale under it and still have some room) and isn't a featherlight, however it does come with a backpack style bag to hold it. Setup is simple as it is self-springing. The windows are fine. It has solid window flaps and also shoot through screens. The screens are useful in that you can keep the main window flaps open but put the screens in place. It keeps the 'blackout' effect in place but still lets you see through the screen for things coming into your main opening.

For the price, it is a useful, functional blind.

Thanks,
Rick
