No
I ordered 4 items from Amazon recently.
3 prime next day. ( one got lost but I got a refund and reordered the same day, the replacement arrived with in 24 hrs)
1 market place ETA 3-5 days. That was up yesterday.

Today I received what I thought was a spam / phishing text supposedly from RM.
" an item has been posted to you by XXXX we'll let you know when its in the UK and out for delivery."

I went back and double checked the order just in case. b****r! The company is based in Germany and the ETA is now showing as a further 8 days!

That'll teach me to double check companies location before ordering from the "market place" next time :(

I signed up with Amazon Australia and ordered some books for my nephew who lived in Sydney. Luckily I noticed the weeks estimated for delivery, one book was going from the UK and the other from the USA!
Needless to say I changed the order to Australian sellers.

Crazy :(

Some of the stuff I order comes from Amazon EU.
But even they manage next day prime. occasionally its a couple of days, but they always say it will be.
And it does arrive on time.

We have a giant Amazon warehouse in town-well, on the edge- apparently you can collect? Never done it, unlikely to, only was ever there when picking up customers cars for servicing, that was hard enough to get in.

We have a giant Amazon warehouse in town-well,
There are very large ones 2 in MK .
But they are distribution depots and I'm pretty sure we can't collect.

I used Amazon Marketplace ONCE a few years back, the seller turned round and said he'd "changed his mind" about selling to me (is that even legal?) however I've been using Amazon itself for about 15 years.

As for Royal Mail, I've been using eBay as both a buyer and seller for about 23 years, and the few times I sell, I use recorded delivery and hike the postage prices, I simply don't trust Royal Fail to not allow stuff to go "walkies", as it's happened at least twice with stuff I've sent including cheques before I discovered the "joys" of PayPal.

Also, here in Sheffield there's an Amazon Depot in Page Hall, been past it several times en route to Meadowhall, and last August I had a telephone interview to work there, but like an idiot I declared the extent of my disabilities on the online application, and they wouldn't even do the telephone interview! (I wouldn't mind but surely this is contrary to the 2010 Equality Act?)

I guess that really depends on what the job was and what your disability is.

A bit pointless interviewing you if they're looking for somebody to run around a warehouse all day picking orders when you're in a wheelchair.

I'm not wheelchair bound, although if I was, in some ways I'd be better off as the government would literally throw money at me.

Well that was curious, after receiving "we have your parcel" notifications for the above mentioned package,
From RM & UPS. and an ETA of a 3-5 day ( should have been here on the 14th latest) delivery, I got the usual from Amazon last night.
Sorry your parcel is delayed, you can make a claim after the 27th if its not arrived.

Its still marked as dispatched, but not out for delivery.
It was handed to me this morning by the RM guy...

As there is no tracking reference, if I were dishonest, I'd make the "lost claim" on the 28th ..
I wonder how many times that happens?

I wonder how many times that happens?

Every time for me when Hermes are involved, but it has also happened a few times with Royal Mail (all items worth just a few quid).

I was almost 'tempted' on one occasion with an expensive item, but my conscience got the better of me and I returned it.
