No
So, my new camera (Nikon D750) is no loner supported by elements 12, or lightroom 4.
Both of which I use, but not that much.
MY options are
1) Buy LR5
2) But elements 13
3) Use Jpeg more
4) Use a DNG converter.

To be fair, I don't usually upgrade to the next version. I tend to miss one or two out. So, if I want to record in RAW, that leaves option 4, which is free.

So, do I loose a lot of data using a converted dng file ?

Do Nikon bundle any processing software with their kit ala Canon's DPP that is actually quite capable for the basics? But really yes you're a tight wad ;), splash the cash and invest in Adobe CC subs as above.

If you decide to spend some cash, LR6 is just a few months away, March 2015 allegedly.....

I thought someone would have mentioned spending on a D750, and not wanting to spend out on software!

The reality is that apart from being able to directly process RAW files in either LR4 or PSE12, I'm happy with the current functionality of these two products. I don't need any new bells or whistles.
I do use the Nikon NX2 software that does of course process RAW files form the D750.
I have tried the DNG converter thingy and it does appear to be a good compromise.
And yes, I am a tight wad.

Convert to DNG. Lossless as already mentioned, smaller file sizes than RAW, no sidecar files and probably best of all future proof (no need to upgrade software at a later date).

Finally cheap (and yes I am a tightwad - why spend money when you don't need to).

I got close to buying pse13, just so I could handle raw files outside of nx2.
I can't see any downgrading of the dng files. And as you say a future proof raw format.
My first dslr's, a Pentax k10d, allows the raw output to be dng from the camera. How forward thinking of them.

Have you looked at Nikon NX-D
