Today i've seen within 20 metres of the ship

* An Osprey fishing then eating its tea

*Great Egret

* Two Little Blue Heron

* Zone Tailed Hawk

It was awesome to see them (especially the Osprey :cool:) but sooo frustrating that i dont have my kit with me :shake::'(

:bang:

could you pull off a 40d and 70-300IS as or even xxxd and other 70-300 as cheaper stuff you take with you when you go to the other work?

i've been thinking about something similar yeah. tried getting a picture of the Osprey with the work camera but was pants. I must have got to with 10-15 metres of it and it was quite happy sat there :)

If I always took my camera with me, I'd have several thousand shots of squirrels and blackbirds.

If I took your jouney to work, then yes I would probably take my camera with me .....

.... except its illegal to stop on the motorway to take pics.

etc etc etc

You should always carry your camera with you.....2010, The year we make contact!!!:eek: I for one am expecting to be the first on this forum to get a shot (blurred), of an Extra Terrestrial. :thumbs:

I think God is taunting me now, the osprey returned with its mate and sat on the deck crane, within 20ft of where i was working. awesome sight but shame i couldnt get any pics

I know what you mean. We have Red Kites nesting near us but whenever I have the camera they are dots high in the sky.

Between xmas and new year I was walking the dogs across to the next village and had one circle me three times at a height of about 5m (maybe it was hungry and I looked a bit tasty?)
