That is perfect thank youI suspect that Faststone Viewer might do you ... have a look:
You can find it still if you look hard. If it could see cr3 files I would still use it.I didn't even know Picassa was still going.
Is there any software from Canon for editing images? I know they used to have their own software, as some of the manufacturers did, but do not know if they still do.
The manufacturers software was always the best at processing the RAW files, as Photoshop et al would have to reverse engineer the conversion, and they can accurately apply picture styles/controls to the RAW files, which match those in camera, though were not too good beyond basic edits. But if you are coming from Picasa, they may be good enough. If they still do it.![]()
Personally I don't find it that easy to use. I use art for CR3 - I only wanted Picassa to view photos not edit themOn 4.19.30 now:
Canon digital photo professional
Canon Digital Photo Professional software editing and asset management of its Canon raw files for its digital SLR cameras Heading: Photo editor for professionalwww.canon.co.uk
I have not heard of this software, can it convert RAW files to DNG, and view all RAW files ?I suspect that Faststone Viewer might do you ... have a look:
It can view cr3 files and dng files but doesn't convert anything AFAIK.I have not heard of this software, can it convert RAW files to DNG, and view all RAW files ?
Reason being I use photoshop camera RAW to convert my canon R7 CR3 files to DNG for LightRoom, and my Sony A6600 RAW files I use Adobe DNG converter !
As long as it views new camera RAW files I will be happy.Yes, you can view your RAW files with Fastone, edit them and save as a JPEG. Although, it's obviously less sophisticated than something like Photoshop. I find it does all that I want it to do.
As long as it views new camera RAW files I will be happy.
I use stand alone PS & LR so I have no updates when new cameras are released.
Do Adobe still do their DNG converter software? That was a way to use the RAW files from newer cameras with older versions of their software. Or indeed with any software that can read a DNG file.As long as it views new camera RAW files I will be happy.
I use stand alone PS & LR so I have no updates when new cameras are released.
My stand alone PS & LR will not open my Canon R7, or my Sony A6600 RAW files. Hence why I have use PS Camera RAW, and adobe DNG convertor.Well, I can't say about new, new files. But, it certainly opens those from my Fujifilm XT3.
Raw therapee will edit R7 files and is free. Corel photoshop is not free but is a one off purchase and does open CR3 filesMy stand alone PS & LR will not open my Canon R7, or my Sony A6600 RAW files. Hence why I have use PS Camera RAW, and adobe DNG convertor.
I would gladly pay for Abode updates for my cameras, however I do not need all the other updates, and I am not keen on the subscription cost for PS / LR etc
I can not remember if it is my Canon R7, or the Sony A6600 RAW files can not be read by Windows File Explorer !To simply view the files, there's no need to use any third party software. The Windows and Apple photo apps can both view raw files, and have (very, in the case of windows) basic editing functions.
