RENEW Rooms, 82 Wood Street, Liverpool, L1 4DQ
22-28 January 2007.
Open 9-5 Mon-Fri, 10-4 Saturday

Alter Ego is a photographic exploration of the multiplicity of identity. Twenty final year HND photography students from Mid Cheshire College, exhibit their own personal response to the theme of Alter Ego, a recurrent theme in fiction, literature and art.

The work examines the plurality inherent in the concept of identity by investigating the identity of place, the identity of individuals (both average and those belonging to discrete sectors of society),and identity through fashion.

Private viewing is on 25th with drinks for all visitors.

Sounds like a schizophrenics convention. :suspect:

welcome!

I'm not well at all, was awake all night. my head throbbing like it was about to burst, unable to breathe and feeling like crap. Spent most of the day in bed trying to sleep...but thanks for asking :)

Sounds like a schizophrenics convention.

This reminds me of when I had my comedy club in Leytonstone, East London which was called Heck!ers and as you can imagine from the name and location was a bit of a bear pit as far as acts were concerned. :D If the crowd liked they really liked you but they did not take any prisoners. We had a new act on one night (as we did every week) and he was obviously a bit nervous, so he stepped up to the mic and you could feel the anticipation from the crowd. His opening line was "Good evening, my name's XXXX and I'm a schizophrenic". Before he could utter another word there was a shout from one of the wags "Why don't you both **** off then!"

I think he only lasted about another 30 seconds. :help: :D

Sorry for taking this off topic but the story still makes me chuckle years on.

Although the word schizo-phrenic literally means "split mind", the term refers to the fragmentation or splitting up of normally intergrated psychological functioning. A schizophrenic patient has only one personality, but his or her mental activity is often severely disorganized.

Well that's what the voices tell me.
