Hello new snapper here from sunny Lancs. I,m just getting into this photo thingy malarky.
Sorry my first post is a help me thread .
I bought a Sony A 200 camera last year and have not used it much ,I also bought a second hand Sigma 70-300 APO lens for it.Almost brand new a bargain in fact .
My problem is whilst I was switching to Macro I did not turn the camera off and it seemed get "stuck" Now as it tries to A/F it makes a grating noise ,I have stripped the lens to bits and found that one the teeth on the focusing ring is stripped .
My question is can I buy a replacement ring ,or can I remove the ring and re -position it?
Looking at the body it looks like plastic and yet looking at the missing tooth it looks brass? :shrug:
