weekly Allie's "52" for 2013

Hard to crit, but some lovely shapes in the lightening, and the colour in the sky works well.

Cracking set of lightning shots...well done you :clap:

Plenty....hmmmm....can't choose between the color or mono...I quite like the splash of color in the 1st so will stick with that one...well caught on the pour missus :thumbs:
 
Week 30 - Step

Well its a bit of a long shot with this one I'm afraid. Went to Brighton Pride yesterday and took many a picture.

These two superhero's took plenty of steps along the parade route.

Hi, Steps, decent shoehorn, there. Eye contact with a bit of ham acting would really take it up several levels.

Hi Alison, well I think parade is bang on theme for step. I can see why these two caught your eye, they are so colourful!

An interesting pair, and nice colours. Can't see in the exif, but maybe a little less DOF for a bit more isolation would be nice.
 
Not a long shot at all...

Good shot full of character.. and both walking in step too.

Mono that sheep has some crazy eyes and sheep are quite monochromatic even in colour
Connection a good idea but that phone box is very odd, not really sure about the composition
Beginning the figures are a little lost maybe a tighter crop might help
Curve i like a lot :clap:

Connection.....kinda quite like it but puzzled as to why there's a floodlight atop the box :thinking:

Beginning....agree with Alan about the figures being a little lost but like the idea

Hi, Solitude works for me. Well spotted and cracking angle. Crit, I'd like to see more contrast, it looks a tad too gray for me; being uber critical, the horizon is slightly off.

Good show.
 
Solitude, brill composition, street photography but on the beach :) b&w is a great choice for this

I think I recognise that bit of beach too, some great pubs right down on the edge of the beach there ;)

Solitude - I like it! :thumbs: Only crit would be perhaps to make the photo square (it seems pretty close to square?) or make it the more rectangular - it's kinda in the middle of the two and it's driving my OCD crazy haha.
Perhaps a bit more contrast in the B&W as mentioned above too - blacker blacks, whiter whites etc! Nice job though! :)
 
Week 39 - Sweet

Finding it a tad more difficult to get my shots in on time now. Not 100% happy with this shot, but falling further behind so just going to submit this as it is and maybe a reshoot due......time permitting :D. ( DOF not great and again stuggling with the crop)
