I've been wanting to do one of these for a while, but never seemed to start. So, today is my Birthday, I have a new camera so it seemed a perfect time to start.
All shots will be with my Leica X1. It has a fixed lens equivalent to 36mm, so no zoom shots. It will make me think a bit more about composition, exposure and aperture settings, but, judging by the first shot, I have some learning to do with processing RAW files too!.
Anyway, today didnt start too well. I spent half the morning at the vets with one of our chickens, who, unfortunately was too ill to make it back home
Then the dog ran off over the field while we were getting rid of 3 compost heaps that seem to have become home to a family of rats...then it rained and got dark. So, the first photo is probably not the best.
Apparently, when you buy a new Leica you have to take a picture of yourself in a mirror, so here it is.
Even though its taken at 1600 ISO with a single low wattage ceiling lamp behind me, it didnt come out too badly, and one of the first times I have used RAW and "processed" it. I am sure i will get better
So, heres number 1 of 365......
