Been looking for a while now for an all in one printer. Needs to at least scan and print.

I've seen the Canon PIXMA MP540 printer, and that seems to get ok reviews, but it's a little on the expensive side, as I've not got that big a budget to play with (£50, £60 MAX).

So has anyone got any recommendations on printers? The review sites are getting laborious to go through, as none of them say the price until you click a couple of links.

Thanks.

All I'll say is that I've had an MP610 for about 18 months now, have printed some great photos with it and would definately buy another. It's great for quick copies of stuff and even the scanner is quite good.

I did however buy a second B&W laser printer for bulk printing.

I have a H.P all in one. thats only taking up space. If you want it you can have it for free just collect. I'm not far from the Wirral.

never been keen on all in one jobs myself, however I have never owned one either, but had nothing but trouble with ones at work packing up, now have dedicated seperates.

Epson in general for me

Being the owner of EPSON RX 620 and RX 520 combi`s also an EPSON 4870 scanner I have to say I cannot fault them Looking around PC WORLD last week I was shocked at the build quality of todays printers and scanners. They all look very plasticky. Why I chose EPSON is the fact that you can buy ink cartridges very cheap. for instance RX 620 printers, 6 cartridges £4.95. Now thats cheap

Lack of space is an issue,so been more than happy with my Brother DCP-110C all in one with card reader
Think I paid around £40 for it a year or two back, think Ryman, amongst others, usually have a deal going on the latest spec ones
