Alexa & Ring Devices All Offline.

Oh well, it's inevitable I suppose:

It seems Skynet (or is it the Russians?) has started with Amazon. I've lost all connectivity between all my Alexa and Ring devices and the internet.

Being stuck in a wheelchair, I've become too used to be able to control all my lights, TV, vacuum cleaner, music etc. just by using my voice.

I hope this isn't permanent.

Anyone else on here having the same issues? From what I've found on the net, apparently it's a BT problem?

We don't have Alexa but do have a couple of Ring cameras and also use BT for the internet. I have just checked and both are working.

Ah, that rules out a Russian takeover then?

I've been pulling my hair out resetting routers, power supplies and updating software for the last couple of hours thinking it was something at my end, but all to no avail.

Thankfully, they all came back on a couple of minutes ago and seem to be working OK now - typical.

I believe there has been a BT internet outage today. Have had a few people complaining.

Indeed. A bit strange though as my Firestick still worked OK and so did the WiFi as my phone and laptop stayed connected. Weird huh?
