For anyone interested in garden birds, there are loads of offers on for this Sunday inc bird tables, feeders etc.

Inc. this ..... Camera Nesting Box

It may be interesting to a few people

That bird feeding station looks a good price too, I was looking at one of these the other week at £25

I quite fancy the spotting scope, I have no use for it and I know it will be crap but it's cheap!

I thought filming Birds in their beds at night without permission would get you on the register....

Actually they're not bad. My brother bought one last time around & is pleased with it. can't go wrong at the price.

Everybody seems to associate Aldi with crap, It's just not true, their products are usually pretty good and excellent value for money,

actually, no you're correct they're crap, keep shopping where you do now then they might not be sold out when I get there :D

:lol:

So I went to Aldi today and spent £60!

I got:

1x peanut feeder
1x seed feeder
1x wild bird feeding station
1x premium seed mix - this is a BIG bag!
2x fat feeder twin pack (yes four!)
1x fat snax tub - this is a BIG tub!
1x easy to assemble bird table

Everything seems pretty cool EXCEPT the bird table. The supports for the roof were missing and it was generally nigh-on impossible to screw together. I think I'm going to buy a proper one somewhere.

Everything else seems great! And well recommended! The seed mix bag is huge (cant remember the weight) and only costs £8! The tub is equally good value!

Now, I've never fed the birds in my garden - although some of my neighbours do! The acid test will be if they come to mine for food! It may take a while though!

In summary everything I bought is cool, with the exception of the bird table, which I've given up on!

:)

Just put a big sign up saying something like "Cafe Joe. Now open for Business"!! That'll bring the birds in!

Since opening for business Cafe Groove has been doing a roaring trade!

I did not have enough money for the HUGE bag of seed and the 50 fat balls, so just the station and a couple of fat ball holders.

I think the seed tray may be a little low, but I can't move it now :bang: I presume you leave the fat balls in the little green net bags :thinking:

No callers yet :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Please no comments on the stone wall pointing :nuts:

You should really remove them as the birds tongues can get caught in them, so I've heard.

pointing, it looks more like dripping to me

:lol::lol::lol:

OK netting now removed.

It was either a collapsed wall of very bad looking repair work

I filled my boots at Aldi too today. The scope is actually quite decent as they go, at least to keep in the car without worrying about it getting knocked about. I bought a Nikon 20X60 from Canon Bob recently and I can tell you the difference isn't huge.

How dare he!!!!!!! The heathen!!!!!!!

I looked in the window of my local branch of London Camera Exchange and they had a Nikon 20x60 scope for £400, I went to Aldi, and bought a 20x60 scope for £26, and I have to say, I am mightily impressed with it.

The camera nest box looks really good, I wonder if you can swap the camera out for a 1D and 600 f4 :p

I bought a scope and camera bird box for my dad. Fitted them last Sunday afternoon, I don't think the TV has been off the AV channel since!
