Downloaded the Albelli creator for making a photobook, I suspect that when the finished book is ready to purchase one has to upload it via the internet, there seems to be no mention of image sizes, neither on there creator or web site.
Has anyone used these and if so what is the recommended mb size for a A4 size book.

I have.

But I don't understand your question. Surely the size of the photo book file will depend on the number of pages, and the number and size of images?

Thanks for the reply.
Sorry, i mean image size such as Mbs / Kbs etc, not Inches / cms.
No point in uploading an image of 5mbs for a A4 size print. So was wondering what would be an ideal upload size, perhaps 1 mb.

Don't worry about the size in megabytes. It's incredibly dependent on the amount of fiddly detail in an image. Instead you should worry about the image dimensions in terms of pixels.

Printing at 250 pixels per inch (ppi) will give you a result which looks immaculate even close up - assuming your original image is sharp to start with, of course! For an A4 print that works out to roughly 3000 x 2100 pixels.

The Albelli software isn't as fussy as that, though. If it thinks your image isn't big enough (in pixels) for the size you want to display it (in cm/inches), the image border will change from green to red. This seems to happen at a resolution of 90 ppi, which at A4 size works out to be roughly 1000 x 700 pixels.

So... below 1000 x 700 pixels is definitely too small for A4; above 3000 x 2100 pixels is definitely OK; and in between sizes might or might not be OK depending on your personal preference.

Ok, That makes sense.
Thanks for the input.
regards.
