Hi all,

I'd just like to give a quick update on this years competition...

Currently only 23 entries have made the shortlist, and I am hoping that I can exceed last years total of 60 shortlisted entries, in fact I would like to be able to shortlist over 100 if possible. By doing this I expect to be able to significantly increase the prize offerings for next years calendar competition. This years prizes are currently:

1st Prize: £125 of aviation books (courtesy of Key Publishing) *also FREE banner advertising on the Uradnet aviation banner network (see below for details)

2nd Prize: £75 of aviation books (courtesy of Key Publishing) *also FREE banner advertising on the Uradnet aviation banner network (see below for details)

3rd Prize: £50 of aviation books (courtesy of Key Publishing) *also FREE banner advertising on the Uradnet aviation banner network (see below for details)

1st runner up: Airbourne 2007 DVD - Eastbourne Airbourne Airshow - Courtesy of Eastbourne Borough Council Promotions Office

2nd runner up: Airbourne 2007 DVD - Eastbourne Airbourne Airshow - Courtesy of Eastbourne Borough Council Promotions Office

Free Banner Advertising: This prize is worth a minimum of £9.99 for a years free advertising on the Uradnet aviation banner network. Usually to get this for free you would have to show their banners on your own website, or choose to pay £9.99 with no need to put a banner on your site. This is a great free prize for anyone who sells aviation photographs. Whilst these prizes are listed as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes, should they be of no use to those winners, they will be offered to 4th place, then 5th etc etc, This network can be seen at the top of most airscene pages.

*Even if you dont enter, you will still be able to download the 2008 calendar for FREE from around the 3rd week in October.

I am looking forward to receiving your entries, Good Luck to all!

regards,

Ian

1st runner up: Aviation History by Anne Millbrooke - published by Jeppesen

2nd runner up: Airbourne 2007 DVD - Eastbourne Airbourne Airshow - Courtesy of Eastbourne Borough Council Promotions Office

Hello again,

The last prize update for this years competition...

First 3 places and 1st runner up will be offered a place on our new 'Showcase' page. The purpose of this page is to provide a window for those wishing to earn from their aviation photography. With enthusiasts and publishers visiting our pages, this may afford the winners the opportunity to sell to the public, or the possibility of being approached by a publisher.

This competition closes 4 weeks from today, so if you havent entered yet, there is still time to do so. Please pay attention to rule 3, the calendar will be using photographs cropped in a 2*1 landscape format, therefore this is the preferred format, or any image in 4*3 format which can be cropped to suit.

Good Luck to all.

Ian

Good luck to all.

Both the judges and myself have been impressed with the standard of entries to this years competition. My job is almost over now and I am looking forward to seeing the judges results trickle in during the week.

This competition closes at midnight tonight (BST), after which no further entries will be accepted. As such this will be my last posting here regarding this competition.

A sincere Good Luck to all who have entered,

Ian
