Live quite close to London Southend Airpot and they have started increasing flights in and out.

How does one find out about flight take off and landing times? I have found a couple of nice places on public land at either end of the runway, so would like to know when to expect planes will be in the air and which direction they will be coming/going.

Also, is there usually a viewing place (ideally) quite high up within the airport? There is a new hotel right next door to the airport that has just opened up - I'm unsure how to go about gettting up the top of that

Thanks

Looks like the top of that building is a balcony around what looks like a restaurant.

Go in there for a meal, will give you a chance to scope the place out while filling your stomach, sounds like a good plan to me.

I'm guessing you're from the area? If you follow the new road they have put in, there is a service stop that's below the runway level. Park there (Or get dropped off probably safer) and walk up the steps, climb over the fence and there is a good spot to see the runway. Sorry I can't help with names of roads! My family are from there, and I live up north now.

Awesome, thanks, I know exactly where you mean and have seen people with bobble hats standing there before
