Aircraft Identifier

Getting into Aircraft photography at the moment and know some of what I shoot but some aircraft I have no idea what they are.

Is there a good website/program that can be used to identify everyday commercial aircraft and also aircraft from the likes of the RAF etc?

best to get some books.
if you can get the registration/serial then you can always put that into Google & it will probably throw something up.

RAF is pretty easy seeing as we don't have too many types these days.
