Air Canada A320 accident at Halifax

Christ on a stick...aeroplane accidents happen. ..a lot.
Are we to bemoan them all?
If so we should have a sticky thread for transport accidents of all kinds.

The car one should be pretty busy!

landed short - and ripped the landing gear off before sliding down the runway on its belly (according to that PPRUNE thread) - they were lucky to walk away from that

Yip - Canadian TSB have said the plane touched down 335 metres short of the runway and hit an antenna system. Appears to have first severed an electricity supply line causing loss of power to the airport. The landing gear was lost.

Must have had a generous supply of lucky white heather aboard.
