anyone used any lately ? what did you think of it ?
ive nearly always gone for hp5 ,but at £39.90 for ten 36,s and the agfa at
£25.50 for ten,i think ill give the agfa a go ,

( thats from ag photographic )

I used some Rollei Retro 100 which is supposed to be the same film and I really liked the results. However with HP5 you have the benefit of higher speed and you can push it more if needed. If you don't need the speed I would recommend trying the apx.

I recently used some and found it easy to develop in Rodinal with reasonable grain and a good range of tones. It also didn't curl up once dry so was easy to lay flat in my scanner. My most recent uploads on flickr are taken with APX 100 if your interested.

FYI, Silverprint have them at £1.99 a roll. I'm not sure if delivery charges mean that overall AG Photographic is cheaper, but just thought you should know.

speed might be an issue to be honest, wonder what its like pushed a couple of stops ,
thanks for the heads up J, i think it works out another couple of quid at ag ,so as i normaly use ag i might as well stick with them ,cheers tho
really like your flickr Paul ,the agfa looks good ,are all of your pics there on film ? ( the colour ones as well ? ) i think you've really recorded the marches / protests well ,

thanks for your replies ,,

^ Thanks for the kind words only the St Pauls protest and Covent garden pics are taken on APX. The St Pauls colour shots are digital ( sorry for swearing ) there are other shots on my flickr taken with film, " Slut walk, Orange order parade " for instance. I normally tag them "film". By the way I usually use Ag photographic or Discount films for most of my stock and find them both reliable.
